Landscapes
foggy autumn in winter (oil painting) white sky
I found these trees outside of our school, Skyline High School. I took these pictures because the fog and weather effected the picture in a good way to make the picture more spooky. In these pictures, I am trying to show people environments can. change ones perspective of the setting. When looking at this picture, most people would assume these woods would be spooky because of the setting. The message I am trying to covey is sometimes weather effects what ones view of an image is or the feeling they get while looking at this.
pine bristles prickly(oil painting) pine bush
These bushes sit on the sidewalk of a pond near Southern Ann Arbor for a long time! I was able to take these pictures during the day because it was sunny out, even though its winter. These plants can stay in their green color form since they are pine- even in the winter time. To me, the feeling in these images are cozyness. Winter is cozy. Therefore the feeling I am conveying is that winter is a warm season.
Pine Tree pine tree(oil painting) warm contrast
I found this miniature tree while on a walk. The tree must've been planted within the last 4 years because it was very small. I chose to take these pictures because I thought the tree was cool and simple. Here I am not trying to convey a message, just published a really unique and perfect tree.
Curved wheat plant (oil painting) stick like
This is a wheat plant I found near a golf course while walking along the trail. I took these photos because the wheat color contrasted really nicely with the grass on the ground. I had a couple of errors with these pictures because I was trying to take pictures that didn't show the distracting background in it. Lucky I was able to just get the slim wheat together. There were also some errors with shooting the pictures because of the weather. It was very windy and therefore hard to capture the wheat all together.
pointy prickly plant (oil painting) full snapper
For winter break, I went on vacation to Dallas. I took maybe pictures for future assignments. One day I went to an aquarium and they also displayed plants there so I took a lot of pictures but found this one the most interesting. This was a snapper plant that was red in the center and zebra like on the leaves. It was difficult to capture the perfect image because I was crowded by a lot of people. Overall, I thought this plant was really unique and that is why I captured it.
