odd one outgolden hour sun |
tooth shaped roofThis building is one that I found downtown. I took these pictures during the day around noon. The sun's rays reflected on the building front and I thought that was so cool. The sky in contrast with the building was also really pretty. I took this buildings picture because if you look at the patten of the building, one of the windows is out of the building and acting as a sun window. That portion of the image is what brought my attention to the building, so I thought I had to capture it and make sure the distraction was brought into the image to make people really think about the image.

even windows |
This orange/reddish building I took pictures of downtown. The building displays even windows lining all the way down the building. The overlay of the roof looked ancient and the pillars gave the building a divine shape to it. I took this buildings picture because of these reasons and when all the parts of te building came together the building looked really interesting in the golden light hour. I took a close up and a far away picture to emphasize all the windows to the building and how even it was. This was a really easy picture to take because the building size was not very large.

edge emphasisThis is also a building in downtown Ann Arbor. I took this buildings picture because of the contrast of the red/orange brick with the sunlight and the black door. The colors of the building all matched to fit in a satisfying way. I took this picture just before golden hour and as you can see, the gold light reflecting on the building is the sunlight. I took the image from a side angle so I would get all the colors in there. I also took one close up of the door. The close up of the door showed the rectangular patterns of the door.

penthouse shapingThis is another building from downtown Ann Arbor. I took this picture also before golden hour. I took the image pointing up and zoomed in a bit because of the cars on the street that were getting in the way. This image was one of my favorites because of the pattern the floor levels at the top exposed. If you look closely, its almost like an obstacle illusion the way the floors look balanced out and camouflaged. This was a hard building to take pictures of because of the obstacles in my way.

ractangular figuresThis building was a work of art. The divots in the roof and matching white pillars makes this building look important. The color reflecting windows were also super unique and fit in with these images of the building. I took this buildings image because of the red contrast to the white and black pieces of the window. I took a direction of the camera pointing upwards to show the entire building. Also one from the corner to the other sides to show the length of the building. This image was easy to take because it was up close and not surrounded by obstacles.
